ABOUT

In a time where community and social networks are starting to infiltrate every aspect of our personal and professional lives, WE decided to test the notion that a book of business best practices could be written by "the crowd," and we are excited to have participated in this groundbreaking experiment.

As members of numerous communities ourselves: faculty, students, publishers and business people, WE—Wharton, Pearson, and MIT—believe that the outcome of this book (and community site) is far better than anything we as individuals could have authored in that it represents the collective wisdom of our respective communities, and a large number of individuals who joined the community during the course of the project.

In the end, the physical book was authored in the conventional way, but it would not have been possible without the ongoing involvement and guidance from our communities.

In the spirit of continuing the process of innovation, we have already set out to “crowdsource” a second book focused on employees as vibrant social networks will reshape the organization as we all know it today—including leadership, governance, and compensation. This book will be the next in a series of several topic-specific books that demonstrate the power of “WE.”

Please join our commitment to WE by blogging, podcasting, discussing and writing your chapters, reviewing the ones we have created and posting reviews on the site!
