In this blog, I will discuss effective User Interface design for Social Media platforms. I'll shine the light on sites that should be admired for doing it well and say, "thanks for playing" to the others. Beneath the surface of creating a "community that clicks", I also love talking about Internet marketing, online trust & user reputation, as well as the economics of contribution.

So I was looking at some of the new web based products from Demo '08, and there is some cool new stuff out there in beta.
The product I liked the best (and I haven't even gotten to use it yet) is blist. I may change my mind once I use it, but right now I love it. They are in beta right now and I signed up to be part of their beta, why haven't they let me in yet?? Hurry up! LOL

MySpace has upgraded the home page for their users. For the longest time the user’s profile page was not editable at all. MySpace decided what was important for you to see – and that was mostly ads.

American Marketing Association Broadens Definition of "Marketing"

Every five years or so, the International headquarters of the American Marketing Association reviews the definition of key terms that are associated with the organization and refines their meanings. It is a disciplined effort to reflect on the state of the marketing field and this year, the AMA has redefined the word “marketing,” to reflect its broader role in society.
